Independence Day

independence_day

From KcsOnline to all of you, have a safe and fun Independence Day! Today our phones and email enabled devices have been locked in a drawer as we pick up our controllers, hotdogs, and burgers.

In the wee hours of the morning, the script that runs this website was finally updated to the current branch. Stocked full of nice back-end features like proper security checks for the code engine and web server, overkill variable sanitation, cross site scripting protection, anti iframe code and more.

Today, on this independence day, no alarms have been set. I woke up to the blissful sound of my cat scratching at something instead of my phone ringing with oh so pleasant tech related mumbo jumbo requests.

Component Integration Thoughts
Wed, 13 Jun 18 17:37:19 -0500

Upon starting KcsOnline many years ago, I knew I wanted to forever be in the technology world. However, I never envisioned the level of current tech would evolve the way it has. Release cycle after cycle, we are accustomed to seeing more gadgets that either try to make our lives easier or simply to enhance them. Never has a time been so problematic as different manufactures and developers try to get all these new shiny gadgets work together, somewhat normally.

From Alexa controlling your home automation system and cable box, to an Arduino trying to control... well... everything; there seems to always be an issue. Networking different components together over WiFi, Z wave, Cellular, and plain old wires is a hefty profession in itself.

KcsOnline can help! One of my favorite pastimes is to scour the web for technical articles, forums, and blogs on integration issues for all sorts of components. Drop me a line using the Contact Us link below with an issue you are having.

Perpetually Under Construction
Wed, 13 Jun 18 17:35:45 -0500

Developing a dynamic and fluid site is no short work. This site and it's sister sites will always be under construction in one form or another. New features and bug fixes are added almost daily as development continues. Back-end and Front-end changes occur often so don't fret if the site you visited yesterday looks different from today.

All currently displayed options of the site are available and deemed "Ready to Use". Placeholders are marked accordingly with "coming soon" text to denote development hasn't reached a milestone or stability for public use.
